Maintenance Schedule

Hurst Marina offers Certified Factory Trained Technicians. We have obtained Mercury "Platinum" and Sea Ray "Master Dealer" Status the highest rating possible from our suppliers. We are a Mercury authorized repair centre.

Additional services availabale are: Marine transportation of power boats up to 50 feet, Fiberglass repairs & refinishing and custom Canvas top manufacturing and repairs done on site.

All prices include parts & labour unless otherwise stated.

100 hr Service Stern Drives/Shaft

Change engine oil and filter, check drive oil
Retorque gimbal ring and steering shaft connections
Replace fuel filters
Inspect battery
Check steering system
Check shift and throtle adjustment
Inspect prop shaft, grease and retorque
Spray corrosion guard on connections
Inspect zinc anodes

Additional: Drive inspection recommended yearly by Hurst Marina Technicians

200 hr Service Stern Drives/Shaft

Everything from 100hr service plus:
Remove drive unit and inspect and lube
Inspect and lube gimbal bearing and coupler
Check electrical connections
Replace transmission oil and filter on inboard shaft drives

300hr Service Stern Drives/Shaft

Everything from 100hr and 200hr service plus:
Disassemble and inspect sea water pumps
Clean sea water inlet on inboards
Retorque and inspect engine mounts
Replace spark plugs, wires and distibutor cap
Clean flame arrestor and crankcase vent hose, replace PCV valve
Check for corrosion
Inspect belts/replace
Inspect cooling system and hose

Outboard 100hr Service 2 and 4 Stroke

Lubricate all points
Visually inspect thermostat
Inspect spark plugs
Check engine fuel filter
Check engine timing set up
Check for corrosion
Drain and replace gear case lube
Lubricate splines on drive shaft
Check trim system fluids
Inspect battery
Check control cable adjustments
Inspect timing belt
Change oil and filter on 4-strokes
Remove engine deposits with tune
Check fasteners for tightness

Replace water pump impellor every 100hrs or every year. Check and adjust valve clearance every 400hrs or four years on 4-stroke outboards.
